ZingCheckout helps businesses accept payments, track inventory and makes it extremely easy to grow your business. It replaces your traditional point-of-sale system and runs entirely in a web browser or an iPad app.
Yes. ZingCheckout is designed for in-store retail sellers. You use it just as you would a normal POS – the difference being we work over the Internet on your favorite PC, Smartphone, or Tablet. We are not an e-commerce application.
All you need is a computer or tablet and an Internet connection. You can optionally connect a receipt printer, scanner and cash drawer.
ZingCheckout works with most major browsers, but we recommend Google Chrome.
We don’t recommend using Internet Explorer 9 or below.
Since ZingCheckout runs in the web browser, you can use any OS with an modern browser.
This includes Windows, OSX, Linux, iOS, and Android.

ZingCheckout will work with your existing merchant account. To configure your account details, navigate to Section > Gateways inside of the app.
If you need a new account, we can refer you to one of our authorized merchant providers. We’ll make sure they are a good fit and understand your business. To do that, we need to learn a bit more about your needs. Contact us to get started.

Yes, you can use a credit card terminal alongside of ZingCheckout.
To set this up:
1) Navigate to Section > Gateways inside of the app.
2) Press ‘Add Gateway’.
3) Change the gateway type to ‘External Terminal’.
4) Finish by pressing ‘Add Gateway’.
Yes, you can. It works similar to how an External Terminal works, so you need to set it up as that type of gateway.
To set this up:
1) Navigate to Section > Gateways inside of the app.
2) Press ‘Add Gateway’.
3) Change the gateway type to ‘External Terminal’.
4) Finish by pressing ‘Add Gateway’.
After being setup, ZingCheckout will prompt you only for the Credit Card type and last four digits. You will continue to use Square or a similar payment app to charge your customer.
We offer a hardware package of recommended hardware that includes a Thermal Receipt Printer, Electronic Cash Drawer, Barcode Scanner, and Credit Card Reader. See our pricing page for more info.
If by chance this does happen, Zing will still be able to total transactions from the POS screen. However, the connection will need to be restored to continue using the software.
You can export reports into an Excel, .csv, .pdf, and .html file from within the software.
